Exeter NH, a town of approximately 15,300 residents, is in Rockingham County.  This southern NH town is located where the Exeter River feeds the tidal Squamscott River.   

Exeter is the home to  Phillips Exeter Academy, a private university-preparatory school.  With an area of 19.9 square miles, Exeter is served by Interstate 95 and Route 101.  The Amtrak Downeaster has a stop in Exeter and provides service to both Portland and Boston.
